In 1991, Artesanos Design Collection was founded in Durango, Colorado, tucked against the rugged tail end of the breathtaking San Juan Mountain range. It’s a place defined by raw natural beauty, a spirit of outdoor adventure, and a genuinely warm, tight-knit community. That grounding environment shapes everything we do. We began our journey as a direct importer of handcrafted Mexican furniture and accessories, drawn to the soul and character of pieces shaped by human hands. Over the last three decades, that passion has evolved. Today, Artesanos is an award-winning, eclectic collection of high-quality home furnishings and curated decor sourced from independent makers across the USA and around the globe.
Grounded in History
Our flagship showroom sits in the heart of Durango, housed in a historic 1898 horse livery. We recently completed a full renovation of this storied space, carefully preserving its historic bones while further opening up the spectacular 25-foot bow truss ceilings. The building itself mirrors our design philosophy: a seamless bridge between historic architectural character and clean, modern spatial design.
